I AM aware that it is the primary official language. And, for the most part, I can stumble through reading a lot of it (background in French, Spanish, German, Mandarin and Japanese help... the last two not so much, honestly), but I have not yet had the time to devote to learning it yet. On other threads you will see that I asked about language learning resources... of which there are woefully few. And, as I am not a linguist but a conversationalist, the extant resources are not really geared for me. Furthermore,when it comes to language learning, I am heavily auditorily influenced. Without hearing it, my ability to absorb the written language it quite impaired.
As a side note, I am familiar with the English-Talossan,Talossan-English translator (http://www.kingdomoftalossa.net/Oversteir.cgi) but, as you know, certain turns of phrase will not translate properly because deconstructing them into the component words, then translating those, simply does not yield the correct translation...idiom...it's tricky that way. Ergo, learning colloquial Talossan is more difficult as a result.
But hey, if you have some great examples of spoken Talossan, with corresponding lessons, send me the link/files :-)
