Only an houe ago, too! Which means that she should have seen this thread. Hmmmmmmmmm. Okay. A PM I shall send. Anyone know anybody else who is qualified and willing to be appointed Governor? That’s part #2 of this dilemma. Does the database tell me which provinces people ‘live’ in? I would suggest you take it a little slow, read about the Kingdom and then be eligible to become a citizen, and then a citizen. Ah, BenArd is back. You can find the particulars of any person by clicking on his profile name... and looking for the relevant Immigration thread. (also, Pengopäts is not a province, but a CpI justice certainly already knows this)

Hmm. That's why I said almost. Ideally it should have read: People live in almost all territories, known as provinces. I say almost because Pengopats is uninhabited by humans, and hence not a province as per law. Yes, am back. Or maybe you meant I am back with my nonsense. I am actually a person with multiple personality disorder who acts differently whilst wearing different hats. Btw, does honorary residents count as citizenship? We already have few such members.

Nah, I just meant what I've written I'm sorry to hear that, but as much as I'd like to emphatize with you, that's no excuse for talking down to prospective citizens (it does explain your multiple hats lunacy, though) And by the way, that's not an excuse to attempt to inOrganically sit in both the UC and the Senate at the same time as well. You said you'd be trying to introduce legislation to, uh, "fix" this inconvenience. Good luck with getting it passed. What are you referring to, strike pardoned citizens? Penguins? In both cases, the answer is no.

It makes me very happy that prospective citizens engage themselves in Talossan business. That's exactly the kind of Talossans we need. Applause.

Yes, do not heed whatever BenArd has to say outside of Cort. He is just bitter that he does not get to do both judiciary, as well as legislative.

Cheers, all. I’ll let everyone know if there’s a relevant or substantial update to the effort.

My advice to slow down was based on well founded grounds. Its very easy to jump to conclusions. There may be other circumstances that fails to meet the eye in the first place. If we look at Florencian politics, we will find that no Florencian wants to be its Governor as on date, so maybe Artemis Brown and Spencer Kerfoot stay long enough in the Kingdom and be eligible. As for Litz, she expressed her inability to do anything: Oik! Maybe when the referendum dust settles, this vital leadership issue will come to the fore Should a candidate who meets the requirements set out by the Constitution of Florencia, which are that "No person shall be elected or appointed Governor, unless he is a citizen of Florencia and a member of the Nimlet and has served as Senator or as a Member of the Cosa of the Kingdom of Talossa", then I would be more than happy to appoint said person. Until then my hands are tied constitutionally. --- I guess it was similar a few years back in the province of Maricopa, when I had to nudge the then provincial head for a seat. Then I had to wait for nearly a term till the next GE and thereafter the Cabana started functioning again with new members. Last Cosa, the only function that the Cabana did was to elect a new Provincial Head. Thereafter the PH never really bothered to hold a session.

My advice to slow down was based on well founded grounds. Its very easy to jump to conclusions. It wasn't the slow down part that pissed people off, but your very clear suggestion that prospectives shouldn't comment until they are citizens. We have been actively trying to get prospective citizens to engage more and not sit around, afraid to comment. Don't work to destroy our efforts.

Cheers, all. I’ll let everyone know if there’s a relevant or substantial update to the effort. Azul! I have nothing against you. Its just that sometimes people may be more interested in national politics than the provincial one. Or maybe there are other reasons. Slow and steady is how we often work in Talossa. Sometimes we too feel the pressure of the situation. Till date I remember the extra days past my first fortnight in getting the Talossan citizenship. There are many others that I could count, and others might count the delays caused due to my absence. It happens. Cheers!

I too have looked after immigration earlier and I know the kind of job you have to do. Am not destroying anyone's efforts or even trying to. Sometimes the 14 days period is a short time to comment on the structures and foundations of the Kingdom. We have had very few people who had a mastery over Talossan affairs during this period, and our differences apart, I must commend people like Medal/Epic for that.

I am very conscious that things in Talossa necessarily go at a slow, steady pace, perhaps foremost for the fact that we all have other commitments outside Talossa (and often which are higher priorities personally). It’s a state that I appreciate and will take time to adjust myself to, lest I burn myself or others out Saying that, however, there is a provincial Constitution to be followed, and I would hope that a man of the Law — a judge, no less — would respect the Rule of Law as well as the Duties of provincial officers. If there is non-, mis-, or malfeasance, it ought to be addressed with due diligence, and that it is what I am trying to do. “Due diligence” does not mean “drop everything at once” or “crisis!”; rather, it means that the issue must not be ignored or put aside. I was aware already that there is a lack of candidates, which is precisely why I asked how to find — and am seeking — Florencians who are both qualified and willing. I hope that Your Right Honourable Mr. Ardpresteir, particularly as a judge whose role is to uphold and defend the Law, will help me in that endeavor.

Congratulations S:reu Kerfoot on becoming a citizen.
I have always believed in the Multi Hat concept and would like to wear a non judicial headgear whence not in the Courts. However despite my guise, it's reasonable to be identified as a CpI judge and thus I rather say my words with judiciously though not exactly being judicially.
Although most of the boards are open for a non citizen, it does not mean that one should start acting on the call of prospectives. Although your call is a valid one, there might not be eager/ eligible persons to hold the reins. Now that you are a citizen, I'd recommend that you find the list of eligible candidates from your region and then Petition the Cunstavel regarding the situation.

I would suggest you take it a little slow [emphasis added], read about the Kingdom and then be eligible to become a citizen, and then a citizen. That is the opposite of what we need. All prospective and current citizens can benefit from reading more about the Kingdom, but we need life! Action! Especially in a province like Florencia, a province, which, I think has only managed to even form a single government since I immigrated two years ago, and hasn't passed a single bill for longer than that. Taking it slow is why new immigrants leave. Agreed, I think the reason I’ve continued to be active for the most part is because I’m usually kind of quick on the trigger.
