Although am not really asked to act on this, but I found another version which I thought should be shown to you before you finally decide. The division is called 'embattled', goes well with your cannon, and looks like the wall of a fort.

SKA Hooligan / SVA Sir C. M. Siervicül, I think it can be blazoned as " Gules, a cannon or and a chief embattled argent" although it's actually "Gules, a cannon mounted in ship’s carriage or and a chief embattled argent"

Looks good to me. In Talossan, I'd render "gules a cannon or and a chief embattled argent" as "goglhas ün canun or es ün cäps fortaleçat erxhent".
