My Fellow Vuodeans and subjects of the King -
Yes - I stand for election to be Senator for The United Provinces of Vuode and Dandenburg. I am pleased and honored to represent my home province in the Senats.
I was the first Vuodean to stand for election to this important role. If my candidacy prompted this flurry of action, then I have succeeded in promoting my number 2 goal - making Vuode more active.
The two other gentlemen running to represent Vuode are good men. Both of them have nominated me for leadership roles in our province. I am honored to be in the company of men like these.
My hat is in the ring because I want nothing but good for Vuode, the oldest and best province in Talossa. I appear before you not as a political hack who sold his soul to a party, but as a citizen of Vuode.
What you get with a vote for Trotxâ: 1. Stability - I have never changed political parties - not for a whim, not for a peeve. I live in the same house as when I immigrated to Talossa. 2. Seniority - I am the most tenured citizen in our fair province (148/29act) 3. Experience - Do you like Zouaves? Have you completed Navy training? Is pure democracy in our province a great idea? Do you agree that men should vote in Vuode? My legislative proposals get passed and make Vuode and Talossa Better.
I will work to expand our province's catchment area. I will never vote to merge our province with another. I will never vote to abolish the monarchy. I will work to earn the right to represent Vuode.
Vota Trotxâ

Sir T,
You speak of direct democreacy, but would you support a bill in the Ziu to give the people of this country a say in whether they wish to remain a monarchy?

I don't think every question asked of us from our would-be constituents must be in a debate. Also, neither of the moderators we suggested are from Vuode. But if you would prefer to wait for the debate to start, that's fine. If, however, you choose to engage, I will gladly answer any questions you pose, as well as any questions I pose.

Fellow Vuodeans -
With great apologies, recent life events have forced me to be away from Talossa.* This unexpected change means that I must withdraw my candidacy for your Senator. I encourage everyone to re-elect Sen. Grischun.

* Nothing personal, thank goodness, however, the huge software implementation project I'm leading blew up on 11/18. I've worked every day since, including yesterday. The 14+ hours days we're working doesn't allow for much other fun. Hopefully, I'll be back mid-January (if we hit our go-live target).

Best of luck, Sir Trotxâ!
Given this unexpected turn of events, the RUMP now endorses Éovart Grischun for re-election as Senator for Vuode Province.

Good luck on your project, and kudos for doing the right thing and stepping aside if you don't have time.

Thanks. Spent the afternoon wrestling with security issues. The problem is not IF we can give access, but whether we SHOULD give access. (c.f. Politics)
Miss you all!

Gooooooood Morning Vuode!
Remember that software implementation I was working on? Yeah - that project ate my life for more than half of last year. We went live on schedule, but had a bigger-than-expected learning curve after launch. I had around a dozen all-night work sessions between January and July. We are the largest public sector implementation of this software, which meant many opportunities to point out that our vendor has a few blind spots when it comes to government. True fact: one difference in public versus private sector is that we in the public sector have employees that we are not allowed to fire.
And as soon as things got better at work, my beloved mother-in-law began dying of Alzheimer's. She passed on 26 September after fighting the disease for fifteen years. (Many thanks to those who sent their sympathies.) Not only did her passing involve all the loose ends that death brings, but it also involved a burial in another state.
I felt it was more important to support my wife during the process of passing, then in handling the grief and then dealing with the estate. Thank you all for your patience with my prolonged absence.
The good news is that both of my sons are now Eagle Scouts. Both of my daughters are well, with the younger one ready to graduate from high school this year. I'm truly blessed on the home front.
So, in the immortal words of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Jefferson:

D:l Betiñéir,
first of all, my deepest condolences for your loss. I hope your wife, your family, and you are healing, after having had to see a loved one suffer from such a disease.
I am furthermore very glad that your work life has gotten easier!
But what brings me real joy is seeing one of the “original Talossans” (as per my naturalisation) come back to Talossan life! Benvenescu, and I hope you’re here to stay!

Let me be the first to congratulate Sir T on winning the Senate seat for Vuode. It is evident how hard he campaigned for this seat. I look forward to ensuring that he represents all Vuodians.
