Sorry about that, Galen. Miestra is a little bit obsessed with me at this point. If you click on her profile and "view recent posts," you can see that... like half of them are just her saying incomprehensibly vicious things to me. Maybe it's more than half, I don't know, I haven't counted. I actually think she's rather cleverer than me... she's built up this public persona where she can say any crude or hateful thing she wants, and no one will call her on it. I try to ignore it as she spins conspiracy stories where I am some megalomaniacal mastermind. I thought to make overtures of kindness a while ago, and wrote a full-length positive profile of her in Beric'ht Talossan (#4, I think) but it didn't work, obviously... still the obsession.

Anyway, the RUMP had been in charge for years, and so a couple of years ago all the opposition parties got together in a coalition ahead of time. That's the coalition that's been ruling the country for the past two years.

I'm on record as criticizing both Miestra and AD for their behaviour, so Alex, your mournful cries that no-one calls her out aren't very plausible. I do think your behaviour is more difficult, because where Miestra does admit she goes too far and does apologize, you simply don't; you act the perpetual victim, to the extent that members of your own party find it embarrassing. Miestra can be a problem too, but I know that after a dust-up via Facebook message things can get sorted with her. Until you begin to act with sincerity and self-knowing, you will find it impossible to have the Progressives trust you again. I hope you do get to that point, however, because an effective conservative monarchist party with real policies is much-needed.

(I am also genuinely impressed, if slightly depressed, with your managing to turn outright dishonesty in your statement into an appearance of statesmanship; I genuinely have wondered how far you'll get involved in macropolitics.)
