I totally understand that. I envisage that, if the ZRT and the LibCons do merge, a "fundi" Republican party could well emerge. [...] If this were Greece, I would rather be in SYRIZA, fighting the troika for what real gains could be accomplished, rather than in the KKE standing outside and saying that nothing's worthwhile except total revolution right now. SYRIZA, aren't they hesitating to tax the rich harder, like all the governments before them? I have to admit that I didn't delve deep into plans for a fundamentalist Republican party. I reckon it might be fun to call for a republican revolution every now and then; for the fun of it I might even want to change my Talossan last name into a translation of "Robespierre", but thinking twice, that's not exactly what I envisage. I won't deny that some progress has been made since the Talossan reunion. The secret ballot is certainly an essential achievement, whereas, if I didn't miss some news, there is still a committee that is entitled to peek into non-anonymized ballots for the purpose of a verification of the counting of votes. And then there is still far too much power in the hands of people that have not been elected and / or don't have to undergo regularly scheduled democratic procedures in which the people can review the performance of those unelected officials. Optimistically put, there are still quite a lot of things that can only get better in the course of time.
