You're not oppositionists, Cresti, you're the party of the absentee King, of shady shenanigans behind closed doors, of preventing all progress through "stay behind" operatives in the judiciary and bureaucracy. Your party still has almost as much power as the elected government - partly through keeping your immunity from prosecution by deliberate sandbagging of the judiciary. We aim to destroy that.
Every election means a chip away at Talossa the way you built it, 2006-2013 - a boring, pompous, stale community which only you and your cronies loved. I doubt your party will ever be fit to participate in Government again, and certainly not if you keep the hilariously incompetent incumbent as party leader - although if you dissolved and started a new conservative-monarchist party from scratch, that might be different.
But back on topic, if the ModRads want to let you back in power - to nominate bureaucrats and judges who will sabotage any initiatives of the elected Government or court cases which threaten your beloved King and your old buddies with justice for their malfeasance - then they have learned nothing from history.

I think we're better off campaigning on the merits of each party or alliance, and form a coalition depending on the numbers. Who knows, the ModRads and Progressives may be able to form a coalition without another party, RUMP or the FreeDems might get majorities. We simply won't know until after the election, so let's hold fire on ruling out coalitions or going into an election with the explicit desire to form a coalition with one group of people. I for one will be happy to negotiate with anyone who is able to confidently promise the greatest number of reforms along the lines of Free Democratic principles, and who can command a majority in the Cosa.

Ridiculous, cheap, ludicrous. You do like to write just to stretch your fingers, I get. Let me know when you've finished talking nonsense so that we can start talking about serious issues - for example, whether a FDA voter is voting for liberals or socialists; a monarchist, republican or agnostic stance on the head of state; a strong dirigist state or a weak liberal state. The FDA looks increasingly like the umpteenth Talossan pot-pie-blob running on loose platforms and attacking potential coalition partners at every whim of its party leaders.

The Free Democrats are actually very clear on the issues we stand on: reform of our current laws in order to increase transparency, openness and accountability. We are in favour of political competition, civil and political liberties, slimming down government and the Royal Household. These are things held in common between the Liberals and the Republicans and those are the things we'll campaign on. A pot-pie blob we are not. As to attacking potential coalition partners, you know my view on this as it was articulated to you on Facebook. Thankfully, Miestra has apologised for having a particularly bad day. Shall we put it to bed now, or shall we reignite the excitement of this fallout?

In two days, the MRPT will be voting on Senate endorsement. If you are looking for the endorsement of the MRPT, please announce your candidacy before that date. Senatorial candidates are also welcome to visit modrads.proboards to defend their candidacy.

Speech from Dr. Txec dal Nordselvă
The last coalition government saw tremendous accomplishments that led to fulfilling one of the fondest goals of my colleagues in the MRPT - abolition of the Semi-Permeable Wall. When I was Seneschal, during the 45th Cosa, I had as a personal goal the idea of abolishing the wall, but timing and political mood were not in my favor and so I never pursued it.
There is much in common between the MRPT and the Progressives and we have many things to work together on in the future. I believe if we worked together, as the only non-RUMP monarchists in Talossa, we can see positive changes in our kingdom. Our kingdom has much to do still if we are to see the goals of both our parties accomplished. The coalition governments have been a great success in as much as we have seen true reforms to many areas of Talossan life put forward by members of the coalition, including my own personal project, reform of the Judiciary.
I look forward to our bright futures together!

Thank you for your kind words Dr Nordselva. It's true that the ModRads and the Progressives have much in common and I hope to see both parties work together to achieve shared goals in the future as well. I'm taking the liberty to post this on the MRPT boards as well. (The speech of Francal Ian Lux can also be found there.)

I'm assuming our party leader will publish the manifesto soon enough. The congress has already approved it, so those who want to see it before it gets published can find it here.
