Hello fellow Ataturks,
I am a new citizen of the kingdom and of this fine province of ours. Figuered I should say 'hi' as I begin to poke around this part of the forum.

Greetings and welcome.
We are at a bit of a lull just now. Our provincial leader has been busy with real-life responsibilities. But if there's anything I can help you with or answer, do ask.

I think my first objective is to learn Talossan! As a native speaker of English and French as well as a bit from other germanic languages... I can pick it a part, but I would really like to get fluent some day. My goal, once this would be achieved, would be to translate some of the A-S, Old Saxon and Eddaic poems into Talossan. But that is a while of for sure.

I could start now, but the translation would be absolutely horrendous. However, I guess if I tired in a rudimentary way, I could post my attempts and more seasoned speakers could help with modifications or corrections. This would also be a great way to explore the semantic field of the language, as such nuances are important with any translation. Would folks here find that entertaining, informative or obnoxious? If anything as I am somewhat versed in the semantics of old Germanic poetry and forms, maybe it would help better define or add nuance to the tongue in general.

I'm a non-Ataturkian infiltrating this discussion, but I think it would be awesome.

Cool another Canadian in Ataturk?
Est-ce que tu parles au moins un peu le Français?
I am the elder turkey at this moment and I am from Montréal...
Sorry if I missed your initial presentation, been really busy.

Oui je parle français... plus q'un peut. J'parle aussi l'jouale tabarnak Pis J'mange d'la poutine en titi. I'm in Ottawa. Sorry I just got to this, but I tend to only Talossa on my night shifts and just started my newest rotation. I havn't seemed to find the time to 'get crackin' on the translation bit, but I still think it would be a cool endeavour.
