I joined the Republic a few weeks after the secession, and eventually, left the Republic, became inactive.
My memories is that in the Republic, I wrote 2 or 3 articles for Qator Itrins, worked a little on a Database system for the Republic, and left after only a few weeks.
The facts however, is that in most issues of Qator Itrins, I have an article published which I remember having written, for a total of what, 8 perhaps?
And then, there is the peace negociations which I had forgotten and which is coming back to me now.
A lof of inter-micronational stuff I remembered doing as ambassador to ESTO was done of course in the Republic even if I remembered it as part of my work with LOSS prior to secession.
So, Republicans, do you remember:
1) How active I was in the Republic? Apart from minister of Foreign Affairs, what did I do?
2) When I last interacted with the Republic?
3) If I was removed from the list of citizens, was it by renunciation or laspe of citizenship?
4) Did the Republic use my Wittenberg for long? If so, how long?
5) Did I propose any laws for the Republic? Did any of my words make it into the constitution? I remember proposing stuff for the constitution, but I don't recall much else
6 ) Did Talossa Weekly begin in the Kingdom and continued in the Republic or was it purely a Republican publication?
Sorry, but 2005 was a VERY rough year for me, so I am having a hard time replacing this in order in my mind...

Oh, and I was wondering if I could get access somehow to the Republic forum archives for personal usage only. I promise to never share anything other than perhaps words I have written myself.

1) How active I was in the Republic? Apart from minister of Foreign Affairs, what did I do?
Very active. I think you were a member of the PSD, you were one of their three (members of the chamber of) Deputies, and if I remember it correctly, you were the Tuischac'h in our first ever CoD (Chamber of Deputies). You may have been a member of the follow-up of the PSD, too, as the PSD disbanded after the end of the Presidency of Grubi.
You did a lot of "web stuff", such as installing and introducing the Typo3 CMS (though it was Grubi who designed and created most of the initial content). You also maintained a database of citizens and combined it with an electronic voting system that also cared about publishing and archivating election results.
2) When I last interacted with the Republic?
Last "official" interaction that I know of must have been around Aug./Sept 2005, during the CoD election of this time. You warned us that you had to (go on) leave after a certain day, but the SoS and others didn't get their acts together; if I remember it well, they wanted to give Üc Tärfâ a chance to return before the deadline and didn't realise that you were in a hurry. Then there was a server failure and thusly a breakdown of communication by means of Wittenberg. You fixed the server and then you were gone.
There must have been occasional interventions when you helped us to get along with upgrades of Typo3
3) If I was removed from the list of citizens, was it by renunciation or laspe of citizenship?
Others may know it - I don't. I'd guess that you didn't reply to the Census in 2006, so that would have been the moment when your citzizenship lapsed.
4) Did the Republic use my Wittenberg for long? If so, how long?
I *think* we switched to a new Witt around April / May 2006. Andy Lowry maintained and hosted the new forum, although he quit the Republic in May 2006, in the wake of the collapse of the MRP government. (So the introduction of the "New Witt" was a practical success of the despised, oh-so-inactive MRP government).
5) Did I propose any laws for the Republic? Did any of my words make it into the constitution? I remember proposing stuff for the constitution, but I don't recall much else
The latter must have been before I became a Talossan; when I joined in Oct. 2004, the Constitution-writing process was almost over.
6 ) Did Talossa Weekly begin in the Kingdom and continued in the Republic or was it purely a Republican publication?
No idea.

Which archives? The incomplete copy of "your" Witt (Witt X) that I made has been published by Danihél Txechescu a while ago, but I forgot the URL. I guess that's the archive that you're looking for, as you weren't around in the days of Witt XII. I could give you a .tar.gz copy of Witt X; the hidden forums are not included in this copy.

I still have Witt X myself, including the hidden forums. I will need to take a look in my own archives I guess. I was talking about Witt XI or whatever replaced my forum...

There have been Witt XII and Witt XII b; Witt XII has been hosted by Andy, it was transferred to GoDaddy and renumbered Witt XII b.
There've also been some provisional forums that were erased in the wake of the transfer.
I have an httrack copy of Witt XII b that can be installed on every average computer to be read by means of an average browser; it does not contain hidden forums. And I've possibly a final copy of the database of the forum, which would have to be imported into an installation of an SMF forum (version smaller than 2.0), which, for some reasons, would be quite tricky. Anyway I will not give this database away, because it contains all private messages of all users, as well as hidden forums and passwords, most of this stuff in plain alphanumeric.

The time seems very right for a complete history of the Republic, while memories are fresh, most people are around, and materials are still available.

There is a pretty great short history of the events leading up to the founding of the Republic, A Nation Sundered. If you're interested, you should take a look at it.

I wonder how far Sir Táto got on Dare Something Worthy. Maybe he could be persuaded to take it up again.
