MC Da Lhiun, you may make a short rebuttal if you so desire. Otherwise, we can move on.

Thank you Sir Alexandreu. I will try and do this in less than 4 days, also. It is becoming apparent that S:reu da Lhiun has his own interpretation of our Org Law: Article IX: The Secretary of State, the Hopper, and the Clark Section 2. Any Member of the Cosâ, or Senator, or the King, shall have the right to submit legislative proposals and bills to the Secretary of State for consideration by the Ziu according to the procedures specified in this article. It does NOT say Citizen. He is incorrect in his statement that a Citizen can present a Bill. Section 3. Except as provided in Article IX: Sec. 7, a bill is not eligible to be voted on by the Ziu and cannot be published in the Clark unless it was first submitted to "The Hopper" as a legislative proposal. And except as provided in Article IX: Sec. 8, only legislative proposals that are in "The Hopper" and have been there for at least ten days can become eligible for publication in "The Clark" as bills. Legislative proposals that are no longer in "The Hopper" cannot become bills. The second version of the Bill was not presented at all to the Hopper. S:reu made a midnight raid on the Clark to introduce a Bill that had not seen the light of day, much less the 10 days required by Org Law. I suppose I need to remind S:reu da Lhiun that not only am I a Member of the Tallosan Bar, but I was also the Secretary of State for over 3 years. I have been a MC or a Senator for almost 8 years. My "grasp" of the Laws is not questionable. I cannot say the same about S:reu da Lhiun. It does not say that a citizen may not propose a bill. The only thing it says that only those specifically designated persons may submit a bill to the Secretary of State for consideration of the Ziu, i.e., only bills SUBMITTED, but not proposed, by an MZ to the Ziu are eligible for voting. I can damn well take a bill that has been hoppered by a non-MZ, undersign it, and take it to the Secretary of State, altogether with the signature of the citizen that proposed it, and I trust that every court would see the bill through. The bill in itself had been in the Hopper longer than 10 days, and I have not made a "midnight raid", I submitted that bill a good 12 hours before deadline, if I am not mistaken. And, again, by law, I am allowed to make changes to bills in the Hopper before submitting them, and making changes to the bill does not require a minimum amount of time for the changes to remain. In both cases, your reading of the law is faulty or partially improper.

All right, thank you. Now we will move on.
MC Da Lhiun, do you have a question for your opponent?

Just so both candidates are aware, this debate will be ending on Saturday. So on Friday, wherever we're at with this question, we'll start final statements, and each candidate will have a day in which to post theirs. If you are unable to post on Friday or Saturday, then please compose your statement ahead of time and send it to me, and I will post it for you.
If we don't have a question from MC Da Lhiun by the end of tomorrow, then we will simply assume that he has forfeited this opportunity. Unfortunate as this may be, we do have to finish up. MC Da Lhiun, your question?

Okay, it's been four days. And since this keeps happening, I think we're justified in saying that MC Da Lhiun has unfortunately forfeited his chance to ask a question of his opponent. I wish we could wait for him to participate, but it seems as though he's been a bit too busy.
Both candidates, please prepare your closing statements. I will ask MC Da Lhiun to post his today or tomorrow, and Sir Mick to post his on Saturday. You may want to recap who you are and what you want to do for the province, or summarize your pitch.

Fellow citizens of Maritiimi-Maxhestic! Thank you for following this our debate, between now-Senator Preston and me as his position's challenger. I wish to be the voice of this province: Not for the benefit of my party, and not for my personal benefit, but so that I may represent this province in a fine manner.
I believe to have proven myself to be worthy of your trust, in the past few months as your Attorney-General. Now I wish to turn to all matters provincial, but our province is inactive. What do we need to change this? Your participation in our daily life! Reach out to us, regardless of who prevails in this race, engage in provincial politics, engage in provincial non-political stuff!
You wanna challenge the inactive University of Talossa, by establishing your own school? Do so! You want to tackle the language barrier of Talossan and English, by founding a translation service? Speak up! Or would you rather make fellow citizens aware of the humanitarian cause, of wars and poverty, of misogyny and homophobia? Of the fact that immigrants and non-citizens are entirely outlawed and under our mercy not to get whimsically fined and incarcerated, because they do not get equal protection by the Covenant of Rights? Get together, and fight! Denounce this injustice, and make everybody aware!
Whatever your decision; be active and lively! Be proud, and be so in Maritiimi-Maxhestic. And most importantly: ¡estetz Talossan!
I am Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun, from the Moderate Radical Party of Talossa (MRPT), endorsed by the ZRT and PP, and ask for your support in this election, to become your Senator in Maritiimi-Maxhestic.
Thank you.

Thank you Sir Alexandreu.
And thank you to the Citizens of Maritiimi-Maxhestic for consistently supporting me as their Senator. I hope they will return me to the Senate to represent them once again. I will continue to support their rights and choices if re-elected. I will also protect their rights as Citizens, that my opponent thinks any johnny-come-lately can also have, without committing to our Kingdom. It is my belief that if a person wants the Rights and Protections of the Kingdom's Covenant or Rights, then they join our Kingdom as a Citizen.
Unlike my opponent, I understand the OrgLaw and the Legislated Laws. I understand who can write a Bill, how to correctly Hopper a Bill, and the legal method to get a Bill placed on the Clark. At one time or another, I have been your Secretary of State, your Senator , and a MC. I have successfully authored and passed bills for YOU, the Citizens of M-M. I have not cheapened your Rights by attempting to extend Knighthood to foreign traitors and thieves. As Mençéi of the Senate, I have not asked my fellow Senators to award our highest honor -Senatorial Medal of Honour, to be awarded by the Senate for meritorious or honourable service to State or Nation - to that same foreign Traitor and thief.
I have asked you each month on how you felt about each Bill presented in that month's Clark. I will continue to do that, if re-elected. Your input is valued across the Kingdom. Your participation is appreciated, as you feel you would like to be involved in any part of the Kingdom.
Unlike my opponent, I have been a Citizen of our Kingdom for over a year. I know our Laws and Traditions. I'm not prone to hyperbole, or wanting to fix things that aren't broke. I am in favor of righting wrongs , of course. But I'm not one to over-legislate or Kingdom to address actions that have not occurred, or will not occur. I believe that or Citizens of M-M feel the same way. I'm not concerned with which, if any Political Party in the Kingdom endorses me for Senator. I don't vote for them. I vote for you.
I wish we could have had more issues to debate here, but apparently my opponent wasn't as interested as I was in discussing with you, the Citizens about why I would like you to vote for me to be your Senator. I wish you all the best, and thank you for your time.
