As far as I know, and I have read through the legislation, there is no minimum age for prospective citizens. However, there is a 13-year-old age limit imposed on Wittenberg by Proboards, and it is obviously impossible to admit small children for several reasons.
I would like to have this situation resolved. Even if we follow the reasoning that the Attorney General has mentioned, that under-aged applicants would need parental assent, we still need a minimum age for other reasons (COPPA etc). Perhaps some responsible Members of the Ziu could propose something in the Ziu.
Meanwhile, I will continue to allow 13-year-olds to apply for citizenship unless told otherwise by the PM.

I tried passing something in a previous Ziu that would restrict the age of those applying to "14 by the next General Election", but it failed. I'd be happy to reintroduce a version of it.
(At the time, it was to "open" prospectives who would be 14 up to apply, but we later realized that no law restricted them from applying in the first place.)

That would be my preferred age limit as well, although the language would have to be "the next not prematurely called General Election" or something along those lines.

Personally I feel that if this goes ahead it would be better if we had two fixed dates in the year instead of the next General Election.

In case you forgot, I did submit, through the Clerk of Courts, a Reference Question exactly about that, when we talked about Luqman Ash-Shiddiqie.

It's not exactly moving fast, though, and as the law as a matter of fact is conspicuously silent on the matter, I think legislation is a good alternative.

A piece of legislation simply extending the age for citizenship eligibility to the OrgLaw standards for age of voting majority could probably be enacted quicker than any judicial action, given that there seems to be (and always is) a decent amount of backlog in the Courts.

In my opinion, as long as someone can be helpful to the kingdom, they should be allowed to be a citizen

Well, I think 13 is a hard lower limit, because letting younger people than that participate on Wittenberg isn't compatible with US legislation.

I feel that 13 year olds should be allowed in the kingdom because the are young individuals reaching maturity.

Well im sure they wouldnt mind that. It would less than a year when they could vote anyways, and plus, it would increase the kingdom's population, and reputation.
