At least we realized it before the NEXT senatorial election. Just consider me the Senator who never was. I think it might be time for us to handle our own senatorial elections. What do you think? Well, Maricopa had the second-lowest turnout of any province for the general election. My concern would be that when a province conducts its own election, it seems that turnout tends to be lower than for the general election. We should authorize the creation of a commission with an indefinite length of time to study the issue, as every hard working government body should. In all honesty, I think it might be worth looking into if we wanted to pursue a different method than "first-past-the-post", but as long as we continue to conduct them in that fashion, we may as well keep handing it off to the SoS. Also, Cresti probably has a point regarding voter apathy and turnout, but that might, of course, be solved once many of the non-active voters are wiped from the rolls.

It would be interesting to try something like instant-runoff voting.
