Hello fellow Talossans of the Defencist conviction,
I'm wishing you a happy convention, and particularly am applauding your outgoing President.
I might politely drift into longwinded excuses about still being in holiday or summertime mood, but in fact I am a bit tired of this Talossa. In fact I am disappointed by what became of Reunision.
I had hoped for a Talossa where we can merge two political streams that emerged from the struggle against the derailing behaviour of the Founder of our nationette, but nitschewo: what I found is an encrusted, entrenched, constitutionally fortified, static society where almost every proposal to change things gets its "shut up, write a draft law, sit down" back, which, in the long run, is utterly exhausting and frustrating.
So briefly, I totally agree that a united front of progressive parties should put aside ideological finesse and differences and focus on issues where we, as a growing minority, might find enough kindred souls to put some substantial changes on the rail.
Like, in first place, secret ballot voting that allows for truly free elections, where people can speak their minds without being bugged by - maybe - only an alleged surveillance of political peer pressure.
So, again, I'm applauding Dame Miestrâ where she is saying that your party should try to achieve exactly this, the creation of an alliance of people who may disagree on the future role of Citoyen Lupul, but who are wanting to break up a perpetual petrification of our society that may kill us in the end.
Because if all oppositional thinkers will be doomed to an eternal obedience to a state that is only comfortable for the RUMP masterminds, in the long run Talossa will freeze over, fall asleep, get trapped under a spell like the Sleeping Beauty in the fairy tail.
Let's wake up and move, to wake up and move our nationette.

The Chair recognizes the Peculiarist polar bear. Right on. Trying to bring about any change in the current legalistic "closed shop" political environment is like trying to push peanuts uphill with your nose. The good thing about a Radical Democratic Alternative of the type which I envisage is that it would "merge the two streams", in that it would bring on board the Moderate Radicals, the "extreme left wing of Monarchism", plus of course the royalists within your own party.

I agree with almost everything you said. I think a good start in making it easier for Talossa to start moving would be making it easier to pass amendments to the Orglaw. We shouldnt only be negative about the current situation though, weve made a big step towards a secret ballot, I feel confident that, even if the live and let live act is probably going to fail, we will end the ban on micronational citizenship at some point in the near future. And more great things will happen, as long as we are prepared to put time and effort into achieving these goals.
