Can I ask a question? What are the gray bars at the bottom right of your arms? Alexandreu has 1, and Mick has 2 with lines between them... They denote our rank in the Zouaves (Royal Guards). I am the Captain of the Guard ( hence one of my Honorifics) and Alexandreu is a Lieutenant. www.kingdomoftalossa.net/index.cgi?lingo=&page=Statute&act=36RZ7

That is the traditional method of displaying a CoA. We kinda stick to tradition and historic things... Arms are emblazoned on a shield or cartouche when granted, but there's no rule saying the individual armiger can't display them in some other format, such as on a banner or pennon (which are also traditional ways of displaying armorial bearings).

In fact thereafter you can have the shield affixed to a plaque which may be in any shape... however if you want to display it in the avatarspace, it'll be too small...

However, you can probably have as you wish, by asking for the same as the corporate logo of the 'TDA'...
In that case, the SKA can directly grant the same to you.

I meant after a shield is granted, he can hang it on his oak tree stub in his house (which looks like a cylinder) and then... I agree. Those look more like flags. In any event, the Blanc Wolf won't grant arms not in the standard form (i.e. cartouche for a woman and shield for a man). If you want arms granted by His Majesty, you'll have to use the shield.

we can have a billet enarched... and maybe place a roundel on top... it'll somewhat create the desired 3D effect of a cylinder...
or maybe a billet bary....

Ok, so, my arms, here are the last thoughts: 1 ) A beaver, as it is my scout animal AND the national animal of Canada. It would be small. 2 ) An anvil, as it is somewhat the root of my Talossan name. It would be the main feature. 3 ) This symbol: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/00/2D3C.png which is the Letter F in Tifinagh-Berber, F for Furxheir ;-) The symbol would be on the Anvil, a little like this (pardon the crude design): But I have NO idea which colors to use...

in short, it could be something like this (but the proper shape instead of a rectangle, and with better looking images, and possibly not waves, it's the first thing I found )

See MPF, I don't want to sound rude... and neither am I speaking on behalf of the College. Whatever I speak here is my own feelings -
What you have stated is that you might want to have a arms sometimes... which means that presently you are just toying with the idea of having one. In such a circumstance, I do not see the College take a positive/ decisive decision on any ideas that may crop up.
Whence a project is handed over to a fellow, it is under strict supervision following the laws of heraldry. In fact, if you ever choose to have your arms, I am sure that the College would be in a better position to help you out.

Ok, then what are the steps to positively want an arm? The reason I was hesitant wasn't if I wanted one or not, but about what it would look like...
Is that clearer? I want arms, I want them to follow the laws of heraldy, and I want to look awesome.
But I don't know how to do that, so I was hesitant.
