Estimats citaxhiêns dàl Provinçu Liveradâ:
I have the honour to announce that 15 out of 22 citizens of this Province voted in the election for our next Capitán. The results were as follows:
D. N. Vercáriâ (NPW) 7 C. C. Xheráltescù (ZRT) 8
I hereby therefore declare Carlüs Xheráltescù MC elected to a second term as Capitán of Fiôvâ.
Since this has been such a stupidly close election, I think it only proper that (since I am a known member of the party of the winner) that I should reassure all those interested in the integrity of our online secret ballot. When you voted you will have gotten a receipt number between 1 and 15. The BallotBin programme has given me a list of which receipt number (anonymous) voted for which candiate. I am happy to post that list here, if there is demand, so all voters can check.
Long live the Free Province on this, the Ninth Anniversary of the Glorious Revolution of Calondâ Gün 2004!

Congratulations! And congratulations to Fiôvâ who has proven herself not a one-party province!

I'm very glad it was a contested election, and one that was this close. It certainly serves as a boot up the rear for anyone who holds the position. I'd like to offer a big thank you to those who voted for me (and a thank you to those who voted for S:reu Vercaria, because voting is cool no matter which candidate you vote for), and I hope to do you proud over the next year.

Huzzah! Congrats to Capitán Charlie! And a double Huzzah to the good people who voted for me. If these votes were supposed to be be more than a mere kick into the rear of the ZRT, then I hope we'll have a vivid debate on the peculiarist plank that was meant to be a serious idea: achiving more provincial sustainabilty by provincial mergers. Yes, it is fine to keep up the cultural peculiarity of the provinces (and particularly our Fiôvan republican heritage and pride), but even our beloved province is sometimes close to dozing away and drifting into a boring apathy. Hence, it might be an idea to explore if there are ways to some more cooperation with, say, Maricopa, our northern neighbours. The Maricopans helped us a lot during the pre-Reunision days, when the foundation of Fiôvâ was discussed, so maybe this is a solid fundament for moving on to a closer interprovincial cooperation.

I certainly can't see anything wrong with inter-provincial co-operation, which is very much why I've already acted on one of my electoral promises already. A message has been sent out to all the provincial executives asking them to consider forming a League of Provinces. I've had responses from a few of the provinces, but by the large, the sclerotic nature of Talossan provincial politics has made the process slow. However, this time of year is usually very busy, so the slow responses are expected.
Of the provinces of Talossa, I say we're probably one of the more active - and that's an achievement we should be proud of.
