Here we have a map of Maricopa, showing the boundaries of townships, parishes and cantons within the Province*: *Since we haven't redefined anything yet, these are still as they were in the OrgLaw prior to the passage of 42RZ19: The little numbers are census blocks (Borgais/Townships), groups of census blocks with the same first digit are block groups (Pleivs/Parishes), and the big red numbers mark census tracts (Cantons). The map translates to Talossan geography as follows: 110: Ovestia/Wesernia101-107: Pleiv John Minot/John Minot Parish 201-206: Pleiv Frédéric Maugey/Frédéric Maugey Parish 111: Zuerieiria/Murphysboro101-108: Pleiv Caß/Cass Parish 201-209: Pleiv Solomò Xhuno/Solomon Juneau Parish 112: Taglheiria/Schneideria101-107: Pleiv Bud Selig/Bud Selig Parish 201-205: Pleiv Dale Morris/Dale Morris Parish 301-306: Pleiv Iustì Canun/Iustì Canun Parish 113: Sandadia/Prachelion101-109: Pleiv Cresti Siervicül/Cresti Siervicül Parish 201-211: Pleiv Gary Schwichtenberg/Gary Schwichtenberg Parish 303-304, 309-310: Pleiv Tom Buffone/Tom Buffone Parish 403-405: Pleiv Capital/Capital Parish So, what I'm here for is this: Should we maybe name some of these sub-canton subdivisions? Perhaps in honour of some great Maricopan citizens or Talossan historical events?

For my part, I recommend that one of the Parishes along the southern border be named Juneau Parish, after our proto-Talossan ancestor Solomon Juneau. I'd suggest 113-3xx. The rest should be named after important figures/events/places in Maricopan history.

I heartily endorse this idea. I support naming a southern parish after Juneau, and suggest also naming parishes after Dale Morris, Albrec'ht Lupulardit, and John Minot as past citizens who made substantial contributions to developing the province. I would also suggest keeping 2 or 3 provinces with more generic names (e.g. named after a bordering street) in case some future Cleivi comes up with a really cool parish name.

I live in Maricopa, but I'm not seeing Prescott on that map.

I nominate Bud Selig to be named. I mean, this guy is the Commissioner of Baseball, and he is from Milwaukee! In fact, he was instrumental in getting the Milwaukee Brewers to come from Seattle after the Braves left for Atlanta. He was also the owner of the Brewers up until he took office as Commissioner.
I would suggest 103 (or some grouping around 103) due to the location of a prominent Sports Bar. (Since Miller Park, the Athletic Hall of Fame, the Minor League Stadium, County Stadium, etc, all are outside the Talossan boundary.)
Oh, and I certainly endorse this idea as well.

So, possibilities: - Dale Morris
- Albrec'ht Lupulardit
- John Minot
- Bud Selig
I also looked into it, and found that our first Senator was one Gary Schwichtenberg. Perhaps this merits his inclusion in the list. Counting those five, plus Solomon Juneau makes six. That leaves us five more we could name after streets or landmarks, as placeholders for cooler names down the line. Suggestions for landmarks?

Which 103? 111-103 (or around there), sorry xD And for a landmark, its pretty simple (and I'm still looking) but there is always Cass Park (111-107). I live in Maricopa, but I'm not seeing Prescott on that map. I don't see Bryson City either. Shame, oh what a shame.

I don't know enough about the geography of Maricopa to be of much help, but I really like this idea!

I note two possible names, both in Murphysboro: 111-1xx: Cass Parish, after Cass Park, as S:r Trespelt suggested. 111-2xx: There are a bunch of religious institutions here. (3 or 4 churches, a high school, and the headquarters of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee). I'm sure one of us can come up with a joke for that. Also, we never really determined anything regarding a new capital, so maybe we should get back on that? Both suggested capitals (Humphrey House and the Kern Center) are in 113-4xx, so perhaps that might be named "Capital Parish" once we get everything decided re: capital(s).

Yes, I'm on board with naming parishes for Bud and Gary. And Capital Parish sounds fine too.

I second (third) that. I like the idea of a Capital Parish and, though I never met Bud or Gary, I like the idea of naming our parishes after prominent Talossans of their time. Maybe one day we'll have a Cresti Parish and a Canun Parish or even a Nordselva Parish :-)

I am also on board with naming after all four of the possibilities, as well as Cass and Capital Parish. If any of the four (plus) people are still alive, it might also be nice to drop them a little letter of congrats as well. Just as suggestion. and don't forget a Tresplet Parish!
