Perhaps the simplest way to begin this process will be to break things up into smaller projects. So lets start, logically enough, with the first opera "Berber of Seville."
Is there someone already at work on Berber in terms of music?

Perhaps the simplest way to begin this process will be to break things up into smaller projects. So lets start, logically enough, with the first opera "Berber of Seville." Is there someone already at work on Berber in terms of music? Yes. Assuming we are all happy with the melody of "the match will be exciting" that is currently on the recorded version by Niku, I have been penning a military snare section to accompany that. Many years since I banged a beat and even more since I put pen to stave manuscript so nothing to report past that. I'm hoping to end up recording a new version of this song, by putting Niku's melody line into a sequencer, build and add a bass and percussion score ... em, and taking it from there. plus i'm not sure what we are all doing and what I should and should not be doing.

Here is a list of all the songs in El Taloçait d'Isiviglha. I will fill in the status of each composition as it is updated: SONG | STATUS/ LIBRETTIST'S COMMENTS | COMPOSER(S) | El mätsch serà eschitatorxheu (The game will be exciting) | Melody by Nikü Spyropolous currently being transcribed and orchestrated with drums by Eðo.
| Eðo Grischun | V’amíc Cascourös (My friend Cascourös) | | | ¿Qi estetz? (Who are youse?) | A possible melody line has been written by Baron Hooligan, but one (later) thought I had here is to perhaps incorporate something in the tune that would be reminiscent of The Who's song "Who Are You?", since at the time of the founding of Talossa, The Who's rock opera "Tommy" was enjoying great popularity.
| | Noi sint Taloçaits (We are Berbers) | | | Underéu come ben façéu (I wonder how well I am doing) | | | ¿Fossent-noi cantitarh nun? (Should we sing now?) | | | Là hei isch Chilsa (There is Chilsa) | | | Castiglha gagneva el mätsch (Castile won the game) | Obviously, the chorus line has the same tune as from the Bugs Bunny cartoon "What's Up Doc?". I was initially thinking that this was only true for the final verse, but now that I look at the other verses the chorus sings in that song, they could also perhaps be fit to the same tune. The original intent was for that tune to only appear at the end, when the chorus begins their exit from the stage, but it may work to have it throughout the song. | | ¡Trei duciamint o cantita! (How sweetly he sings!) | | |

Update: The snare drum accompaniment to El mätsch serà eschitatorxheu has been pencilled. Now moving onto recording before peer review.
