An example of the format of a properly-constructed Bill:
The Title Of This Act
-or-
The Title Of This Amendment[/center][/b]
WHEREAS such and so, and
WHEREAS blah-blah-blah, and
WHEREAS yadda yadda, now
THEREFORE we, the Ziu, hereby do this about that.
Uréu q'estadra sa: (this means "I pray that it be so" in Talossan; note that for a bill sponsored by more than one person, or sponsored by His Majesty the King, "
Noi urent q'estadra sa" is used, which means "We pray that it be so")
<Primary Sponsor's Name> (<Primary Sponsor's Office and Representation>)
<Co-Sponsor's Name> (<Co-Sponsor's Office and Representation>)
<Co-Sponsor's Name> (<Co-Sponsor's Office and Representation>)
etc.
The format of the office and representation after the name of each sponsor should be as follows:
For Senators: (Senator,
Province that the Senator Represents)
For MC's: (MC,
Political Party that the MC Represents)
For example: (Senator, Vuode) is proper, while (Senator, RUMP) is not. Similarly, (MC, RUMP) is proper, while (MC, Vuode) is not.
==============================
WHEREAS : explains what is currently the situation. Multiple uses of the
WHEREAS can define other variables, situations, or actions that are currently being addressed. Use ", and" at the end of one Whereas to lead into the next one.
THEREFORE : Explains what action should be adopted to correct , implement , or address the situation(s) brought up in the
WHEREAS section. Use ", now" at the end of the final Whereas, to lead into the Therefore clause.
If your bill is making more than one change -- but they must be
related changes!! -- then you may have one or more
FURTHERMORE clauses following the Therefore, in which you list the other changes to be made.
IF you are proposing a bill that will be new, it is an ACT.
IF you are altering, adding to, or otherwise
mucking up changing a current Statute, it is an ACT. You must state which statue you want to adjust, and what wording you want changed.
If you are treading on the ORGLAW, it is an Amendment. You again, must state what wording of which part you are changing, removing, or adding to.
Please follow these instructions, or your bill will never see the light of day.
