Hello fellow Maritiimi-Maxhesticans, I think there has been an utter lack of interest in this provincial board and I would like to have a Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. Now, first, I don't know if I even have the power to gather an assembly, but it would be nice if someone gave the word to legitimize it, I wouldn't mind being a scribe or speaker if no one else wants to. Please...I'm not trying to usurp anyone here, just trying to lively up the board. So it tis now unofficially the first provincial assembly and I unofficially assume the position of speaker, scribe and right now sole attender. Question 1) What would you like to be put up on the Maritiimi-Maxhestic website? www.freewebs.com/pelereu . Anything suggested and debated I would put on the site. I please even ask anyone who isn't a member of Maritiimi-Maxhestic to add their ideas. Question 2) I think this assembly should be directly democratic and not dictatorial as in Vuode. Anything else? Ooh! A coup! The official provincial assembly, of course, consists of Grand General Secretary Don Deutschmann, as well as assembly members Sir Fritz von Buchholtz, his son Jason, Milord von Metairia, the esteemed Regent Dr. Rajala, and Lord Laurier. Wow. A very august body. The Prime Minister, the Regent, the Minister of Stuff, two of the four noblemen of the Kingdom! And now one of our newest citizens rises to declare himself the assembly in their stead! Gotta love the guts of that boy! Bar the door, Pelereu! The press is sure to arrive!
Something tells me the ghost of Frank Capra is smiling. Let the filming of "S:reu d'Ursum Goes to Maritiimi-Maxhestic" begin!!

Brandon -- The province that will count you as a citizen is probably Maritiimi-Maxhestic, but you can't be 100% sure just yet. It is determined, as you probably know, by where you live in the world (and your home in Kentucky is indeed in M-M's region) and which provinces are open for immigration at the time the King issues you a royal grant of citizenship. (This is spelled out in Talossan Statutory Law 34RZ9.) It probably will be, but might or might not be (if M-M closes to immigration between now and the grant of your citizenship) Maritiimi-Maxhestic. As for being a member of the provincial assembly (of whichever province is lucky enough to snag you), that is a matter of election. Members of the assembly are named by the party leaders after general elections entitle each party to a certain number of seats in each provincial (and the national) legislature. Hooligan |

Azul my friend. I am not sure how long your call for a provincial assembly was but it seems just as relevant now as it was when first declared. Does anyone know how often the M-M assembly meets and what are its characteristics?

At the moment I think it's pretty much non-functional just like everyone else's provinicial government, except Vuode which is ready to kick start (with M-Mer Alexander Davis's help) it's new government once the Please, Please, Release me! Act is passed!
