For those Talossans who are in Colorado, the Kinetic Sculpture Challenge is next Saturday, May 6th.
Info at: www.kbco.com/pages/kinetics-index.html
The Univeristy of Talossa Squirrels team is "Bird Flu - the Ill-eagles" and our sculpture will operate on the waters under the Talossan flag. Not sure if we will have those letters of marque in time, but it would be great to have government authorization to board the other craft that we encounter and search for contriband.
If you would like to attend and not have to pay the $12 per head due for spectators, you can join the group headed in for the Cyclepathz Kinetics team ( www.cyclepathz.org ) on our team bus, which will utilize the Banjo Billy Special - see www.banjobilly.com/ Headliner bands are Los Lobos and the John Butler Trio. There are even some official pit crew spots available on the team - in that case you would need to bring your US government issued ID and sign a waiver form. But you might need that also to be assay the value of bullion as floated in pending legislation (i.e. to buy beer).
The bus will depart from behind the Albertsons store near 28th St (US36) and the Diagonal Highway at 8:30am. Anyone who rides in on our auxilliary pass will not have to pay the per head ticket charge to attend Kinetics. If you plan on going, or have additional questions please send me an email to cyclepathz@comcast.net and or call me at 303-520-0200.
Note: The Banjo Billy bus will not bring people back out as it will be on its normal tours by then, but the regular free shuttles will be going back to the same location or adults can ride back out with our team (kids would need to ride back out on the bus as the trucks moving our kinetic sculptures won't have spots for car seats)
