We look to the small town of Monteblanco, somewhere in Europe. It is a merry little place with a long history.
A central part of the history is invested in the town chapel, which was handcarved from sandstone in the tenth century. In the twelfth century, it was elaborately decorated with koa wood (surprisingly, considering the wood is thought to be native to Hawaii). The koa decorations cover the chapel inside and out, forming elaborate tableaus of a series of battles between Beowulf (even more surprising) and the Decepticons (perhaps the most surprising).
People come from miles around to see the chapel, and praise it often. However, the carvings, while anachronistic and fun, are very difficult to understand. "Why wouldn't Beowulf grab hold of Starscream and use his strength?" is one common question. People tend to copy certain carvings or make rubbings, avoiding any analysis or new thought in the matter. Only a precious few four or five take the time to understand and advance the thought in Monteblanco-Beowulf-Decepticon (MBD) academia.
It is to these few scholars of MBD that we owe our thanks for their time and effort (and endless essays) on the subject, and to them I extend it now. Thank you, CUG, you are Talossa's own MBD scholars.
