Fellow Talossans --
During the 37th Cosa, the Ministry of Finance, under the able leadership of Minister Danois, undertook the great project of creating a ludicrous and yet strangely workable economic system for our nation. To effect this, the Ministry staffed the Royal Bank & Post, and appointed a four-member Royal Treasury Reserve Board, whose work to set economic policies continues today. The effort of the Ministry of Finance to establish the minting and printing of coinage and postage shall be concluded soon, and through sales of the same, not only will our fledgling economy be kick-started but another route for funds for the Royal Treasury will be established.
It is with a great deal of gratitude that I thank Minister Danois for his leadership in the Ministry of Finance through that important time. As the nation is aware, Minister Danois has agreed to become the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and in that office can and will greatly further the economic policies he set in motion by establishing a market throughout the world for the Talossan Lou.
It pleases me now to inform the nation that I have named (and His Majesty the King has appointed) The Right Honourable Xhorxh Asmour to succeed Minister Danois as Finance Minister of the Kingdom of Talossa, a title that brings with it the responsibility of serving as Chairman of the Royal Bank & Post.
Minister Asmour is uniquely qualified to take on the duties of Finance Minister, having been named President of the Royal Bank & Post, and chair of the Royal Treasury Reserve Board. In these positions, he has been a key player in the ongoing coinage and postage project, the results of which we all eagerly await.
I ask the nation to join me in congratulating Minister Asmour on this appointment, and in wishing him well in his important duties, and offering him any and all assistance that he might require or request.
Done under my hand, and so on and so forth,
