Azul.
Let me first congratulate all parties on their respective election results, and also congratulate the Senators-elect on each of their own successes.
The PNP has achieved a strong result for a brand new party. We have finished with joint 'third party' status in this Parliament (final confirmation and certification pending) and are delighted to enter the Ziu for the first time in a stronger position than predicted. I would like to thank those voters that have placed their trust in us to represent them. Thank you. I would also like to extend an invitation to those voters to join us in Parliament as seated members. Limitations apply in this regard, but we are still able to award up to a third of our new seats to currently unlisted members. Last call, come join the PNP.
This election has shown that an appetite for Peculiarism does still exist in the Kingdom. Collectively, the Peculiarist parties have won 20% of the seats in this Cosa. This signals a clear mandate to represent those viewpoints in Parliament.
The PNP look forward to working with the NPW wherever we can on issues that we both agree on. That being said, I think that all Peculiarists need to recognise that our mandate is weaker than the that of the two largest parties, and as such we should recognise that our mandate is simply one of representation and not one that puts us in a position to effect meaningful Peculiarist reforms.
However, there are some planks from the PNP manifesto that do align, to varying degrees, with those of the FreeDems and AMP. On those issues, where a greater mandate exists across party lines, we will seek to effect reforms.
I believe that the total collapse of the hardline Monarchist vote, coupled with the results achieved by the PNP, AMP and FreeDems, very clearly signal that more reforms in regards to the monarchy are desired by the majority of our population. The PNP look forward to working towards our goals of reshaping Talossa's monarchy to become more ceremonial and less political.
The Nation faces some challenges at this time. These challenges are not impossible to overcome. I call on everybody that is willing to help and serve this Nation to step up to the plate, put your personal reservations and party differences aside and work together to overcome the problems we currently face.
I would like to finish by again congratulating each of the parties on their results, and also by congratulating the winners in the Senate races. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming session and look forward to serving the Nation with all of you.
Thank you.
