Seems impractical to do the Zog Salute to everyone you see. Incidentally, big fan of this page. wiki.talossa.com/Symbols. Gloria Estefan 100%

Do not do the Zog salute. It is very easily misunderstood, especially these days.
A Talossan greets another suspected Talossan by saying, "¡Azul! ¿Estudiás’t Talossan?"

During my last trip to London, I took the train out to have a pint with Ian. I had completely forgotten about the Zog Salute (I've not done it or seen others do it in the few times I've met Talossans in person). Anyway, as the cab pulled up to the pub, Ian and I recognized each other. But in the quick course of events, I turned to pay the driver, and I saw Ian do the salute in the corner of my eye. It took me a moment to remember the salute.
That said, having completely forgotten about it and seeing it in person, we probably should do away with it. I agree with AD that it can be easily misunderstood.
In any event, you probably wouldn't know a Talossan if they passed you on the street if you haven't met them in person before (unless you saw their photograph and have an excellent memory). If you're meeting up with a Talossan, however, then it's pretty much like any other "meet someone off the internet" situation.

I know it sounds like unproductive PC-culture, but if that is so, this is one bit of *productive* PC culture I can roll with.

You could always wear a green-red badge (which were - are? -available here) - I try to wear one when I suspect I shall be meeting another Talossan. Indeed, each of us could show pride in our nation, and always wear a badge, as a mark of solidarity.

The only time I met a Talossan (that would be Pol) who wasn't already a friend or relative, I just wrote him a PM saying "Yo, I'm wearing this". It worked well enough

When Vitxalmour Conductour and I drove down to Kentucky to meet Sir Mick and Daviu Lundescu (did I get his name right?), we recognized Sir Mick right away, because he was wearing a t-shirt with his coat of arms on it.

In fact, aside from Wes Erni being a helpless fanboy, the whole "Gloria" thing became an item of Talossan "metaculture", in that it was not so much G. Estefan which was part of Talossan culture, but of successive Cosas granting and then repealing her National Entertainer status. It was sort of like "Milhouse is not a meme. 'Milhouse is not a meme' is a meme."
