Hello everyone, just wanted to put out some stuff on myself and my various projects.
For a start, my non-party ModRads Arise is formally dissolved at the national level, and all MRA seats everywhere except in Benito (including in the Cosa) should more properly be listed as "Independent" or "Independent Moderate Radicals". Like I repeatedly said, it was always a mere label to get into the Cosa; it has outlived its usefulness and will probably not be used again for the next GE. My plans for the future are to just vote "Present" at the national level, and to form some sort of loose alliance in Benito.
I also never addressed the 9 votes MRA got outside of me and Erschéveþ. While it's humbling to receive so much support on very little actual platform, I sincerely hope what we have done so far (Budget and OrgLaw reform foremost) has vindicated the choices of that 10% of voters. I'm sorry to leave those voters hung out to dry in the next GE, as much as I was sad to let down the 40% of Talossans who voted MRPT when the party dissolved.
I will definitely still seek to represent Benito in the Senate in the future, but I'm done with party politics unless something major happens.
TLDR: MRA "officially" dissolved, 90% won't happen again at the next GE.
As for my own future, I plan to continue serving in the Senate as an independent, but I strongly believe that Talossa needs all active citizens to contribute as much as they can. That's why I accepted to be appointed as Permanent Secretary, so that I can still try to (hopefully) help with what I know without being in partisan offices.

Secondly, pending a proper announcement sometimes later this year, my plan is to found a nonpartisan Talossan Democracy Institute (TDI). The Institute would take care of a ton of stuff that I did over the years as personal projects, and other stuff that I mostly took part in: - Conducting and publishing polls and exit polls - Preparing the Talomat and other such voting advice materials - Organizing/conducting debates - Publishing explanatory material about politics (ex. "How does the Ziu/Cabinet/Chancery work?")
This kind of ties in with my new role as PermSec: for various reasons, I don't feel I can (or want to) be an active politician anymore, but if I can facilitate active, constructive politics happening I'm even happier than being in power myself.
This is supposed to be a group effort: if anyone wants to contribute in any capacity when I'll officially launch it, you'll be doing a great service to Talossa. Otherwise, I might still do some of what I listed above, but the output will likely be extremely limited.

Your work as Mencei continues to amaze, and your efforts to advance Talossanity have been stellar. Best wishes in your Talossan journey to come and in real life...

Thank you, GV. I only hope to be of help for Talossa as you have been for its history in your role as Archivist.

My plans for the future are to just vote "Present" at the national level I really don't like this, when - at least for the next Cosa election - it will be pretty imperative that the forces of democracy and activity (at least two different parties to choose from) get as big a majority as possible over the forces of obstruction. There's a secret ballot PRECISELY so people can be "non-political" and still cast a valid vote.

There's a secret ballot PRECISELY so people can be "non-political" and still cast a valid vote. Voting 'present' is voting for obstruction. The RUMP is quite capabable imho of making a huge comeback. The RUMP supports obstructionism in Talossa to the point no improvements could ever be made. The present issues with the royal veto and the FreeDems' desire to quash it once and for all make voting 'present' a liability for the Kingdom and not an asset. Talossan democracy needs your vote.

I am going to vote Present, end of story. My vote is a matter between me and my conscience only.

I am going to vote Present, end of story. My vote is a matter between me and my conscience only. And yet you see fit to publicly announce what your vote will be. And then give those who would convince you otherwise short shrift.

I am going to vote Present, end of story. My vote is a matter between me and my conscience only. And yet you see fit to publicly announce what your vote will be. And yet, I do. I am starting a nonpartisan organisation about politics. I don't want any doubts that I owe no loyalties to any party.
When the main takeaway from my announcement, which I see as an enormous gift to the Talossan political and cultural environment, is that I should feel ashamed for disliking other parties, of course that might slightly annoy me. It makes me feel like it's all for nothing. "Good, you did your thing, now you're either with us or against us." If you do the maths, I'm actually doing a favour to the FreeDems, as if MRA hadn't existed they would have ~101-102 seats on their own.
I have very good reason to dislike all three parties*, but like I said, that's a personal matter and I don't wish to convince anyone to vote like me. In case you missed it, I'm starting an organisation devoted precisely to educating other Talossans about the current political party and the political system. That's exactly the opposite of encouraging to vote Present, short of actually campaigning for a party.
*: Which doesn't mean we can't work together on policy, like we are currently doing.

I'm working on finishing my book on Talossan citizenship. Maybe you would like to collaborate upon some parts with me? Is that something that would interest you?

Sure!
Edit: besides, I can hardly keep writing Wiki pages whenever I have an itch for Talossan history.

Hi, just a further brief announcement to let you know that it's unlikely that I will manage to do anything I outlined in the post above. I will maybe still try to do Talomat, but I'm at a point in my personal life where I can't say for sure how much time I will have for endeavours that are not linked to any instutitional jobs I hold.
