Sorry, V, that was boring and I'm not into it. Get some more interesting taunts if you want to get in on the fun. Have a good one though

Hmmm, so maybe we will have to bring in a law saying "the English version is primary"? I'm not going to delve into that rabbit hole beyond saying that I'd consider it an ample reward for my efforts if the updated parts of the Talossan + new, untranslared changes to the English were considered the "primary" version. It could not become binding until the Ziu passed it, which it might do if you had a list of all the parts that had their meanings changed by the translation.

I think a better method would be to describe the method used to render untranslated concepts in Talossan. The translation will mean the same thing as the English version. It just won't have the exact same words.

Okay, the current vote in the Nimlet is 3-2 in favour of the reformed resolution, with the Governor (2 seats) and the Senator (1 seat) left to vote. As long as the Governor wakes up from his nap in the next 12 days, we should be good to go, and if he doesn't, then screw it, it clearly wasn't meant to be, it was his idea in the first place.

Terrible corruption! Outrage! People daring to vote! This is a travesty and... -- oh wait, it's going the way I want it to? Never mind, this process is legitimate.

My translation is being done word-for-word from the English version. I've just had to either write some English words using (unambiguous) combinations of Talossan words, or rearrange some of the words in the sentence to make it flow better. There will be no change in the overall meaning of any section of el Lexhatx.

Anyhoo, the 2 weeks are now up in Florencia, the vote has passed, and all we have to do now is wait for Governor Colonel Mximo Carbonèl to officially "sign and deliver" the merger resolution to the King-Constable, who will no doubt be loathe to veto something which has been through the democratic process TWICE and will require another democratic process before being enacted... ... SHE SAID SARCASTICALLY. Please allow the referendum, John.

On the original topic, I don't think that the intention of laws has suddenly become entirely irrelevant now, but it is always best not to cut corners if possible. The CpI has now hopefully reminded us of that.
