Going to Clark this, so if anyone has any further feedback, that would be great

The feedback from the Free Democrats is that this is a supportable reform for the current OrgLaw. However, the Seneschál has put a brand new OrgLaw on the Clark which, if passed, would make this amendment otiose.
Therefore, the Free Democrats will be voting against the Mega-Amendment, if Clarked this time; however, if the New OrgLaw fails (either on this Clark, or in referendum), the Free Democrats would support re-introducing this in the next Cosa and would vote for it.

It is the course of action I (as newly installed FreeDem President) recommend and I believe that V recommends it himself. Surely you know that whipping Talossan legislators is like herding cats, but I would feel bound personally not to jerk you around, and not to let my party members jerk you around, if we came to this arrangement.

And I respect your need to try to get your own bill through cleanly, without trying to sort out supremacy.
May I suggest an alternative? I can edit this to make it so that it depends on the new constitution's failure either on the Clark or at referendum. It's not yet the deadline for Clarking, so there's no reason why I can't withdraw, edit, and reclark it. Would you support such an amended bill?

To whit: "Furthermore, these changes in their entirety are dependent on the failure of the concurrently proposed "The Final Draft of the 2019 Amendment to the Organic Law" bill. Should the Final Draft of the 219 Amendment to the Organic Law pass the Ziu and pass in a referendum with the people of Talossa, then none of the changes found within this bill shall be made."

I do not speak for the FreeDems, but I'm more interested in whether you intend to return the money given to you for your "newspaper" that never got published after you were exposed for using those funds to write a hit piece.

I decided not to restart the paper because I didn't think there'd be staff or time enough to do it justice, but I returned that money something like a month ago. You can look back to the last disbursement thread, which is where I think I announced it, if you want to know the exact date.
I do regret I was not able to publish some of the stories we were working on. It was pretty shocking to find out that a member of the Cabinet was personally interfering with a grant process to try to punish a political rival. And of course, without Beric'ht, there's no other media group to expose that sort of corruption. But I just don't have the time these days that I once did.

Hahahahahahahahahhahahahhahaha Nobody interfered with the grant proposal. There was no corruption. Nice try asshole. I have on-the-record quotes from Cabinet members. Ha ha, here's one of AD's "on the record quotes", from myself: AD seems to be seriously pushing the argument that it was corrupt for Cabinet members to be less kindly disposed to his grant request because of his trolling, bad-faith performance in the legislature. This is ridiculous nonsense. If "corrupt" means "consequences for AD's bad actions", then yes; but only a sociopath would think that. There was no legal or moral ground for AD's continued trolling of Cabinet members not to affect the decision on whether he got State funds for a cultural project. The decision was - before we gave it to the Cultural Development Secretary - a political one. If I'd known, of course, that AD would end up not making the newspaper because he wanted to fight OrgLaw reform - and then withdrawing from the OrgLaw reform process - I would have never supported giving him the grant in the first place. It seems that V was right in the end not to assume AD's good faith, and I was wrong.

Oh, and BTW, AD's defamatory accusations against the Distáin have most likely lost him the Distáin's vote for this Mega-Amendment. Brilliant political tactics, va amic!

I wrote and erased like four replies to this, but there's just really nothing that can top such a public admission. You are a gift, Miestra.

When Alex made his application to try and trap the Government, Miestrâ inquired to the Cabinet. I expressed my concerns. According to Alex, *that* is corruption.
You're a gem, Alex. The mere fact that when asked, this information was offered demonstrates the transparency of true government. Or how about I start digging through our old conversations when I was RUMP and we were in power to show how "corrupt" by your terms we were? Oh wait, I forgot, your party condones corrupt behavior. See e.g. Hooligan.

It sounds like everything you said must have been completely aboveboard and you shouldn't worry, then.
