I guess my term as provincial chief executive is done with there being no chief executive for this year. However, I know the Assembly can handle anything unusual that should come up.
I did not run again for this year's term because by your graciousness I am already a Senator, I did not want to hold multiple offices, and I had enough on my plate. As if being Capitán was a huge job!
As I've said before, it was Hurricane Harvey that blew the post out of my mind, and I never really got back into things, my monthly videos stopping in August of last year as well as the Festival ending with a whimper. Many apologies for all of that!
I'm sure I will run again for Capitán in the future, and when I do, it will be from a better position of being able to do the job to its fullest potential. For now, and with my term ending today, I think, I'm glad to put that post aside effective on the end of such term.
We are the Reunision Province, and as such we are the community we are so as to remind people of the true horror (in Talossan terms) that can happen when people entrusted in power go rogue and try to bring down the country. Ben Madison was one such person, and while Reunision should have happened years before it did, it happened, and with that, the last vestige of Mad King Ben's vision for Talossa was destroyed. Thank God for that!
