2018 National Census Prime Dictate (51PD01)

WHEREAS in the last General Election it appeared that the Chancery's rolls contained outdated and inaccurate information for a number of Talossan citizens, and

WHEREAS this can result in the Chancery effectively not being able to contact some citizens, which can lead, for example, to said people not being able to vote, and

WHEREAS Lex.C.1.1.2 enables the Seneschal to request a Census to be held more frequently than once every two years,

THEREFORE the Secretary of State is hereby instructed and empowered to run a National Census, under the provisions of Lex.C.1.1.2, during the month of March 2018.

Done under my hand, as from Kenwood House, this 27th day of December in the Year of Our Lord 2017, of the independence of Talossa the thirty-ninth, and the eleventh in the reign of our gracious Sovereign John.

A side note. El Lexhatx mandates that new questions be approved by the Ziu, so to ensure that two rather important questions (*) do get in, the earliest date we can run the Census is in March, not February as I initially wanted.

(*): the possibility for people to ask to change province to their "geographically correct" one (like Anglatzara did a few years ago), and an explicit privacy setting that fixes the "no privacy setting, cannot contact" problem from the last election.
