The following was just added to our Constitution:
So. Wearing my Secretary of State hat... are there any nominations? I'll leave them open until November 16 so we can have the election done before December.
The following was just added to our Constitution:
The General Assembly shall elect a Standing Committee, or Praisidíeu in the national language, every year in November.
The Praisidíeu shall consist of 3 members, elected by Single Transferable Vote by all General Assembly members. Precise details shall be included in the Fiovan Elections and Referendums Act.
The Praisidíeu‘s role shall consist of:
- drafting legislation to present to the General Assembly;
- making nominations for provincial Túischac'h and Secretary of State as and when required;
- suggesting nominations for the Landsdoom to the Cunstavál;
- offering advice to the Capitán and the Government as and when required.
Vacancies in the Praisidíeu between elections will be filled by nomination of the Túischac'h and approval of the General Assembly.
