If I am wishing to join the University of Talossa, would I need to submit an application? I am currently a prospective citizen, (I will become sometime later this month) and I am interested in learning.

Almost two years ago, it was replaced with The Royal Society for the Advancenent of Knowledgde, which we felt would be better suited for Talossa, since people like to post about intellectual topics but do not usually have time to teach or take entire classes. Unfortunately, the name of the board has not yet been changed. Assuming you have not yet graduated high school, you can contact Ián Tamorán S.H., the President of the Royal Society, to apply to become an Associate Fellow of the Society once you become a citizen. However, feel free to partake in and post lessons even before you're application is accepted

No, technically, the University of Talossa is no longer explicitly established by Talossan law, which is a rather different thing than ceasing to exist. Talossan law does not enact Mussolini's declaration of "All within the state, nothing outside the state," and its Regent was neither removed by The Science Rules! Act nor dismissed by the King. Rather, all reference to the University was removed from the nation's laws. As far as the Regent of the University of Talossa is concerned, the University continues to exist as an independent private institution under his direction, and he is still organizing its future.

Sorry for making that mistake. However, nothing University-related has occurred since the passage of the Act, so I assumed it ceased to exist.

I admit the reorganization has not been swift or public or mentioned to anyone not living in my own head ;-)
