Thank you, Senator Grischun. What a marvellous idea. I could not think of persons more suitable for such an award.
Yes, Justice Tamorán has, in all the time that I have been a citizen, been a very considerate, and level-headed member of our society. If memory serves, he is a Reviensadeir, is he not? His services as Justice to the Uppermost Court, and his newly-commenced role as the President of the Royal Society for Advancement of Knowledge, certainly show the high esteem in which the nation holds this her good citizen.
Secretary of State Martì-Paír Furxhéir, the Resident Miracle Worker, certainly puts in lots, and lots of hours for the Kingdom, even though he has an active family life, and also all sorts of troubles that one inevitably comes across in one’s life. But he never lets us down; and if there are bugs with the Database, they are fixed promptly. He has contributed to a few sensible changes in legislation, such as the possibility for the Secretary of State to introduce bills―thereby eliminating the necessity of a Member of the Ziu to realise a problem, which might hinder the Royal Household’s efficiency. An obvious choice for the Senatorial Medal of Honour.
S:reu Perþonest, our Burgermeister of Inland Revenue, is regrettably little active in Talossa. He has, however, always been diligent in his work, keeping the Kingdom’s treasures, and never missing on the reports, and the transparency that the citizens of Talossa are due. A very wise choice, indeed.
I wholeheartedly support these candidates. What say you, Senators? You are welcome to debate, if you should feel the need to do so. I will call for a Vote soon, if there should be no disagreements. Graschcias, Senator Grischun. ¡Come c’e ünă ideă marvelösă! Non povadreu pensarh àð altrăs perziuns pü dhenăs per tal awardeu.

Esteemed Mencei,
As you have opened the floor for debate, I shall begin by explaining my choices for these awards.
Firstly, no, I dont think Justice Tamoran is a Reviensadeir. You may be mixing his name up with Tamorán dal Navâ, who is a Reviensadeir, but not very active these days. Indeed, I believe Ian took the Talossan Silk before Reunision even happened. You're summary is perfect, Mencei. Many of the qualities that you list are indeed what got him nominated to the bench in the first place. His ongoing service, despite being in his retirement, is extraordinary. He has been professional on the Bench and a delight within the Chat Room. He is often the sole voice of humour and reason within dangerously heated debates.
MPF - This guy is the best liar in the world. He's duped us all into thinking he's a one man army while he obviously has a sweatshop team of coders and programmers working in the background that we don't get to see. And bots. It's all automated. It has to be. No way one man can do that much work!!!! and family, and yep, you named it all. The guy is a living legend. The only problem is that if he ever runs off, we're all up the creek!
S:reu Perþonest has been extremely diligent within his current post. He makes reports and and collects the party fees, conducts payments on behalf of the government and never seems to miss a beat. He might not be very active, but I get the impression he's always paying attention. What's more, he keeps an eye on the Kingdoms 2 grand in easy access accounts and has never blown it on late night shopping channels, online gambling or, well, on anything. He was also the architect of the 11th hour plan, 'the modest proposal', which sealed the deal for reunision and carved the provincial map into how it looks today. He deserves a 'good job, chief'.

Hear, hear! Three tireless civil servants that are more than worthy to get their work recognised.
A lot has already been said about Chief Justice Tamoran and SoS Furxheir, and I concur with my friends from Maritiimi-Maxhestic and Vuode in their excellent summaries. Allow me however to mention S:reu Perþonest's perhaps greatest achievement, to be put on record with the accolades that have already been stated - the Perþonest Plan, without which Fiova would not exist. He shares a sizable chunk of the merit for what we will be celebrating in a week's time, the (already) fifth anniversary of Reunision.
I will be more than pleased to cosponsor RS01 whenever it will be Clarked.

According to Lexh:H.18., Senatorial Medals of Honour may only be voted upon by the Senate (...only and solely by resolution in the Senate given Royal Assent...). Therefore, I am not considering this as Clark business, but would instead allow for a vote upon it in-chambers. Unless, of course, there is opposition or dissent to this interpretation? I agree with the interpretation. I don't think Senate only business gets Clarked, but who knows? I can't remember the last time Senate only business took place. My only concern is that some Senators may miss the vote if it's not on the Clark. It shouldn't be terribly hard to round up 8 people within the next couple of weeks though, right?

There has been Senate only business voted on within a Senäts thread in the recent past. I believe it was another honorarium bill such as this one, in fact.

Could I ask whether the Senator for Vuode intends to Hopper a Resolution of the Senate in time for the Fifth Cosa? I'd be glad to help drafting it (or writing it myself entirely).

Senator for Benito,
I would submit my original draft, as above. We've been waiting on the Mencei to hold a floor vote per his last post on May 25th, however, since that hasn't happened, I'd be happy to Clark it as a Senate only bill.
If you want to polish it in any way, feel free.

It looks good to me - though Lex.H.18 states that a resolution of the Senate is needed, and [[http://wiki.talossa.com/41RS1]] is an example of that, so it could be assumed that a similar procedure (Hoppering and Clarking as 50RS01) has to be followed. As soon as you wish to Hopper it, I'd thank you in advance for adding my name to it as a cosponsor.

Excellent. I'll Hopper it properly in about an hour then. It won't meet the minimum time rules for this coming month though, unless as PM you force it to Clark early.

I will be calling for a vote on this resolution separately within the Senäts chambers subsequently.
What do you say to a fortnight voting period, to start on the 15th of this month?
