tl;dr: Please send me a PM or an email (finance@talossa.com) if you would like to request an official Talossan identification card! Include a picture. All costs will be paid by the government, and your card will be produced, laminated, and sent out to you on one of our regular issue dates!
REQUESTING AN IDENTIFICATION CARD
-----------
1. Contact the Minister of Stuff with your full name. Your name should be the way you want it to appear on the card; either your English or your Talossan name is acceptable, but a correct spelling and all diacritical marks are your responsibility. Do not include your title, rank, or position in your name. ALL NAMES WILL BE PRINTED ON THE CARD THE WAY THEY ARE RECEIVED.
Bad Example: Minister Al Davinescu
Good Example: Alexandreu Davinescu
2. Include a photograph of yourself. This photograph should be recent, should be of sufficient quality so that it will be presentable at a printed size of 2 inches by 3.5 inches, and should be of yourself ALONE. The Ministry will make its best efforts to work with the photo, but extensive editing such as digital enhancements will not be done. For best results, a passport-style photo should be sent.
3. These two items (name and photo) should be sent digitally to the Ministry at finance@talossa.com. When you send them, use the subject heading "IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION" in the email. If you do not wish to use email to send these items, then contact the Ministry by email in order to ask for the P.O. Box to which to send the snail mail version of that information. The Ministry will oblige. Still, email is preferred and will expedite the processing of your identification.
4. This request for an identification card shall formally constitute consent of the sender to release mailing information from the Secretary of State to the Ministry of Stuff for the express and limited purpose of mailing your requested identification card to you. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SECRETARY OF STATE HAS YOUR CURRENT MAILING ADDRESS. FAILURE TO ENSURE THIS MEANS THAT YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR CARD. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
5. The Ministry of Stuff will attempt to fill orders as speedily as possible. Identification cards will be issued on one of several regular issue dates. The next issue date is: 26 JUL 2016
INVALIDATION OF IDENTIFICATION CARDS
-----------
Your card becomes INVALID under the following circumstances:
1. Your citizenship status is revoked or renounced by process of law. In this instance, your card will be rendered invalid in perpetuity. Any attempt to use the card to falsely identify yourself as a Talossan will be considered fraudulent, and prosecuted in the Cort. No new card will be issued.
2. Your citizenship status is suspended. In this instance, your card will be rendered invalid until such a time as the suspension is over, at which point it will be considered valid. No new card will be issued.
3. You request a new identification card. In this instance, your current card will be considered valid until such a time as your new one is issued, at which point it will become invalid.
4. Your card becomes too damaged to be legible, as determined by any duly appointed or elected official of the Ziu. A new card will be issued at your request.
5. The Ministry of Stuff or an act of the Ziu declares the card to be invalid, for whatever reason. A new card will be issued at your request.
