12th Convocation of the Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic
As the only provincial official who has not either dropped of the face of the Earth or renounced his citizenship, I convene the twelfth Convocation of the Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic.
Assemblypersons are;
Ian Plätschisch (1 seat; current M3) Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun (1 seat) Sir Alexandreu Davinescu (1 seat)
Here is my recommendation for a starting agenda. Of course, it is not binding.
1. Nominations for Grand General Secretary and Grand Specific Undersecretary. 2. Voting for GGS and GSU. 3. Official thanks to outgoing GGS Gaglhen Fortaleça . 4. Discussion of rules of order.
After we get these points out of the way, there are several other topics to discuss during the upcoming term.

I propose we begin with the election for GGS, as usual. Anticipating no objections to that motion, I further nominate Ian for GGS.

I have no objections, and second the nomination!

If Ian agrees, then it seems to fair to consider it passed by acclamation (since our Assembly is now much smaller and no longer representative).

Now, we need a GSU. I would be equally very happy with either of the two of you; does either of you wish to take the position?

No. I do not anticipate having the time, for the same reasons I relinquished it last term.

Hmm...we can nominate someone not a member of the assembly, if they are active enough. Françal Ian Lux?

I don't want to push someone into doing it. Let's just leave the office empty, for now, until we find someone to do it.

Ian, by the way, thank you for getting the thread and everything started. It's awesome you're so on the ball.

Consider this to be the official thanks of the Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic to the outgoing GGS Gaglhen Fortaleça
Now, on to rules of order. I think it would be a good idea to codify the exact procedure by which laws are passed. Something to the extent of; -A bill to be voted on is posted in a distinct, public area -Voting lasts two weeks I worry that our current system, based off of precedent, could be abused by the unscrupulous.
As to where bills can be proposed, I guess I would say that it would be best to do it in this thread, but it doesn't really matter.

I actually think it does not matter generally, and that we should remain flexible in the Assembly, since our Assembly is quite small at the moment. If we see a steady rise in provincial and provinciopolitical activity, we may think about codifying and determining an exact procedure by which laws are passed. But right now, it would just be too much fuss about... well, nothing.
