Azul fellow Talossans, The results of our second weekly election opinion poll are in. Breaking news this week is a split in the results with one weighted poll showing a healthy RUMP lead and another showing the FreeDems retaining their lead. Other developments include the gaining of seats by the Progressives and the TNC. See full details at elmundeu's Talossa Decides section.

Yeah, issues with sampling bias are certainly coming through now! Nonetheless, all the polls seem to agree that either the RUMP or the Free Democrats will be the biggest party, and therefore have "first go" at forming a Government. Voters for other parties might want to take that into account.

will be the biggest party, and therefore have "first go" at forming a Government. That's new. The FreeDems weren't the largest party last time.

Just to be clear. The 84 Seat RUMP lead is based on the polling results of only this week. The FreeDem lead is based on the results of first two weeks combined (sort of). And neither of these are the absolute results, which haven't been published yet, but will be shared with those that sign up for the El Mundeu panel in time. (Not that they are really interesting out of context, but still.)

In our system, the real question is whom the King will "call upon" first. And, with no pre-formed coalition waiting this time, I would guess he'll call on the largest party.

Has the Progressive Party registered yet for this cycle? Not that I'm aware of.
