I back up what Epic is saying here. It's similar to the way that I was nonplussed for such a long time that more people didn't learn Talossan the way I did - with the Dictionary and King Robert's Grammar.

I decided in 2002 that I had the choice between learning Talossan, or working on the database. I don't regret my choice.

You're a Francophone, Talossan would be just like a slightly strange rural dialect.

If I passed the bar at least, I would have a good idea of what is going on, as opposed to just walking into the Courtroom to represent myself, saying, "Yeah! I read el Lexhatx, what could possibly go wrong?"
Point taken though.
I studied for the RTB Exams by reading EVERY statute ever passed in Talossa (I did not have the luxury of the Lexhatx back then!), and the Organic Law, and the (in all fairness *obsolete*) rulebook of the Corts, and also general principles of Anglo-American law, learnt terms, looked up cases and their studies, memorised legal dictionary terms. It's quite a chore, but if you're serious about it, go for it! „Selbst ist der Mann“, they say —I guess it may be perceived as somewhat misogynic— in German; translated to “Self[-suficient] is the man [unto himself]”. Epic and I share something in common - we both are the only two Talossans to have ever taken and passed the bar exam. I studied in quite a similar way as Epic did. Wit that said, right after I became a judge, Dame Litz agreed to hand over the running of the bar exam to me. I will endeavor to get her to work with me to set up the exam once more. Even if you take and do not pass the exam, it is good practice (plus, it's open book!).
