I think a formal translation makes sense in this case. For most software I understand a formal translation is prefered. But also for games? Currently the Dutch, German, Frisian and French translations of Minecraft address the player informally, just like most other games I have played/translated before.

Yeah for games informal is also a good idea. Something like MS Office, formal :-)

I agree: informal for games and formal for serious applications, as a general rule of thumb.

Back to the original topic, I have some additional proposals to make for el Vinveniu per el Glhetg Talossan. I've been putting off typing them up, so I mention this now to ensure that I follow up before too long lest I be exposed to the public as a base slugabed and ne'er-do-well.
