I have just requested the translatewiki.net support to add ár glheþ. Now we just need to wait for them to add it. Hooray! This is something I have been planning since 2013, but have been sidetracked by other projects. In the near term, though, as discussed in my original post above, my focus will be on preparing instructional materials for vocabulary, to help train translators. We need to build a sizable body of to get all these translation projects done within a reasonable timeframe.

Interested translators can add their username to this list already, just make sure you put them in alphabetically. I've added my name to the list, and encourage others to do so as well.

Our request for a Talossan translation has been rejected (for now), because the Wikipedia article says we have only 12 speakers of the language. Is there any good source of how many people speak our language so we can change that figure on Wikipedia?
Also, maybe we can have a better chance if we already start our Wikipedia Incubator project. I just need the translation of the following strings to start it up:
"Wikipedia": "Wikipaida"? "main page": "páxhina del principal" OR "páxhina dal casa"? "The free encyclopedia": "L'encüclopaida liverada" OR "l'Encüclopaida liverada"? "10 articles in Talossan": "10 articais in Talossan"? "Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.": ?

Well, if anything, the figure on the Wikipedia is optimistic. Unless you count people with quite elementary knowledge and/or people who used to actively use Talossan but haven't been around in years as "speakers of the language". Also, if they're going to be picky about the number of speakers, I'm not so sure it's a good idea to launch into an Incubator project right away because it won't help win anyone over if it sits more-or-less dormant. That's why I thought the first step to tackling these major translation projects is to increase the number of translators.

Aivricea! Talossan support has just been added to Transifex. They responded to my email. We can now easily request projects there to add ár glheþ. You can see our language here on their list.

And Crowdin has just changed the status of your "add Talossan language" request to " planned". Well done! I have sent them an email yesterday and asked for the status of my request and provided some more details about the language. They responded that Talossan would be available in the next week.

I just got Talossan added to Launchpad, so it will be easier in the future to translate projects on Launchpad. Crowdin still hasn't added the language yet.

Once Crowdin comes through, we'll have quite a selection of translation platforms that officially support Talossan. It looks like Transifex is pretty supportive of "unofficial" translation projects, too.

I have already requested the Talossan language on quite a few projects and translated a few nouns with the help of the översteir.

I didn't really think about which projects. I just requested ár glheþ on a some popular projects and projects I have translated before to Dutch/Frisian. Currently I did a request for Skype (unofficial), VLC (popular open source multimedia player), Disqus (comment hosting service), ownCloud (open source file hosting software) and the Arduino IDE (open source IDE for the Arduino devices). Of which only Skype, Disqus and the Arduino IDE have accepted the language already.

I clicked to join the Talossan Skype Translation thing team, but it won't let me translate. You need to be accepted first by a coordinator, I am a coordinator since I requested the project. I just accepted you, but keep in mind that this is an unofficial translation, it will not be available in the official Skype translations.
