10th Convocation of the Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic As Grand General Undersecretary, I hereby convene the tenth Convocation of the Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. The results from this year's provincial elections, graciously conducted by Marti-Pair Furxheir, have yielded three seats for the RUMP, three seats for the MRPT, and one seat for the ZRT. The PP and LibCons, both of which were also registered, received no votes. Other nationally registered parties did not place a sticla for the election, as required, but did not receive votes anyway. The designated local party heads (for those parties that received seats) are as follows: MRPT: Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun RUMP: Sir Alexandreu Davinescu ZRT: M. T. da Biondeu This year, we will do seat assignments in this thread, since we have local representatives who will be sure to pay attention and we don't need to advertise like before. S:reu da Lhiun and S:reu da Biondeu, please assign your seats to whomever you wish to hold them for this term. Parties have assigned seats to the following individuals. List updated as needed.Name | Party | Seats | Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun | MRPT | 3 | GSU Alexandreu Davinescu | RUMP | 3 | M. T. da Biondeu | ZRT | 1 |
Once all seats are assigned, we will proceed to business. For ease of consideration, I have taken the liberty of preparing a suggested series of actions that this body might take. This suggested agenda is not binding, of course. 1. Seats assigned. 2. Nominations for Grand General Secretary. 3. Voting for GGS. 4. Official thanks to outgoing GGS, if necessary. 5. Request that GGS formally notify Chancery that we wish them to conduct the next election. 6. Discussion of voter turn-out. 7. Discussion of rules of order. First thing is first, though. We have traditionally waited to do anything until we have a quorum of seats assigned, so please get assigning!

And I assign the RUMP seats to myself.
All seats are assigned, and we can begin. Any objections to my suggested itinerary?

Okay then, let us open nominations for Grand General Secretary, our ceremonial figurehead. There is no incumbent.

Absent further nominations, then, we will just call it election by acclamation. Congratulations to the new GGS.
I would like to now take this opportunity to thank our outgoing GGS, Sir Mick Preston. He has served this province with pride and distinction for many years now, and though he is now taking a break, he merits nothing less than the highest praise and thanks of all of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. I move that this body extend its solemn gratitude to Sir Mick, who had exemplified all that we wish to see in our province: probity, wisdom, fun, and grandeur. Is there any objection to the motion?

Then the motion passes unanimously. Resolved, then, that the Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic unanimously extends the solemn gratitude of the province to Sir Mick Preston, who has exemplified all that we wish to see in our province: probity, wisdom, fun, and grandeur.
The next item on my proposed agenda, if no one objects, is to request that our GGS communicate to the national Chancery our official request that the Chancery conduct the next election. As other members of this Assembly know, I have always urged this as a cautionary action - whatever we decide to do with our elections in the future, we may always rescind this request, and it guards against calamity.
Barring objection, I move that we do so request this of this GGS.

I mick the motion to request the SoS to host our next election. (I recall the time we tried to do our own, and failed miserably... although I believe we got more votes than this current election.)
