Yeah! The actual proposed list of street names is found in another thread, IIRC. I always figured it would become available again, and think we should consider repealing the We Lost the List Act, un-repealing the Official Street Names Act.

Just so you guys know, I tried to run 2 versions of the Proboard converter script today to try and keep a full backup of this one, and both failed due to major changes in the way Proboard is programmed.
The converter is written in Python, which I do not master AT ALL.

The converter is written in Python, which I do not master AT ALL. If you want, I could give it a try, but the problem is I don't know which algorithm does the script use. Does it parse every single thread and save each post? I have noticed that each post has its own unique number, regardless of which board and thread is it in, so perhaps you could try a script that saves each post in a database table with board name, thread name (problem, there might be threads with the same name), author and BB Code text, then keep a running counter to save every post until the last one when ProBoards will return a Not Found error. Another problem would be that deleted posts would return a Not Found as well, so perhaps the "end of Witt" test should try, say, ten pages instead of just the next one.

BTW, from a 2014 point of view it sounds weird that Grubi has to inform the others of what Wikipedia is.

Which python, 3 is easy, 2 is almost ~. It might be beyond my knowledge, which is actually really quite decent, but I can always take a look, but not right now, on holiday

Another problem would be that deleted posts would return a Not Found as well, so perhaps the "end of Witt" test should try, say, ten pages instead of just the next one. The 2 versions are VERY different. The oldest one first fetches the list of all of the members, iterating from user 1 until the value you set (I set it to 700). It saves the data it can find on the members in a .SQL file in a format compatible with phpbb3. Then, it goes into the profile of each user and retrieves their posts, saving them in the .sql file. Each user history is available, so I am guessing that's how it works. It fails because the user profiles changed too much. The second version instead starts by retrieving the list of forums, and it fails at that step. The system gave me an algorithm so perhaps I might be able to eventually reproduce it in php. The main problem is logging in to retrieve the data. The python script is run on your computer and finds the proboard cookie. I would have to replicate that behavior. PS: the scripts only runs on Python 2.x.

Lüc da Schir and Marti-Pair Furxheir S.H., just be careful not to get Witt suspended for planning a TOS violation! Pretty sure Proboards makes it hard to back up their boards on purpose.

Ouch! *louder* Hey, PB guys, it's just a theoretical dialogue between fellow programmers!

Yeah. Mximo was demonised by the Republicans for being Ben's puppet Seneschál during the Hallowe'en crisis, and didn't make it any better by sending an email to one of the Republicans (Grubi? GV?) suggesting that "the King should remove your head off the top of your body". But, as his exemplary Cosâ voting record for the ZRT shows, Mximo is much better now.

I heartily believe that, yes. I believe even Ben Madison could reform, although that would probably take years of therapy.
