Good ol' Robert I. Gotta love him.
Well, obviously we have to contact them about this. I suspect linking them to the Wikipedia article will go a ways in convincing them about our legitimacy.

In that I wasn't here when the problem started, I'll let someone with first hand knowledge take on that fight

Wow... let's just hope he doesn't take this sort of action out on the RoT proper!

Good lordy! Ben's suddenly quite on the attack, isn't he? Am I wrong about my history, or did Ben not renounce his citizenship at some point? And did not the Kingdom continue to operate under the same name following his renunciation? If so, can we not provide a documented historical timeline showing that the Kingdom continued without Ben, and that his later claim, which led to trademarking, was done falsely? Are there any U.S. attorneys in the citizenship rolls?

A barking dog doesn't bite...
I've heard he doesn't have enough money to pay a lawyer to sue us.

And, while I cannot speak on behalf of our government, I for one am glad to have it.

The government happily accepts the support of all groups that wish to aid us in our legitimate fight to reclaim the Talossan name. King Robert I is well-documented as having left the nation and renounced the throne, abandoning Talossa to its citizens years ago. We believe this is immediately obvious as an abandonment of the Talossan name as well, and are pleased that groups such as the Republic so willingly come to our defence. This gesture of virtue and friendship is not one that should go unrecognized, and so as Distain let me immediately say how much we appreciate the Republic's support.

I personally would like to thank those "over there" that have expressed support. Especially since MY personal FB account was threatened with deletion if I did not agree and comply. (It appears that there is some resistance from those "over there", too. (smiles))

I fully support Miestra (my machine will not let me do diacritics for some reason) on this. Ben Madison left the Kingdom of Talossa of his own accord on or about 15 August 2005. The Kingdom of Talossa has indeed continued under that name and thrived, and your legal code supports this in every way possible, I believe, as I'm sure macronational law does as well.
Please note my enthusiastic support for the Kingdom in this matter.

Oh, and for a point of clarification -
I don't dislike people in The Republic. I just don't like their opinions.
Ask Dreu - While I may disagree with him on .... uh... just about everything, I still think he's a good guy.
Misguided , but still a good guy.
