Before we go depleting the Royal Treasury to make anything lets give it back to the citizens in a way that counts.
We can do that with Passports and a Certificate of Citizenship that can be framed and proudly displayed in our homes or business's. This will attract attention to our Kingdom and perhaps interest others in the same.
This is an idea that has been on the back burner for years and it is time to act on it. I urge the King to lead the way.

Passports caused a whole lot of unnecessary headaches for Sealand. I support Passports only if there is no way they could potentially be used to enter and leave countries illegally.

That is a given. And the printing of money, coins, stamps, etc. could create similar problems.

Honestly, I am 100% with Sir Fritz on this one. I like the idea of currency, but I love the idea of Passports and Certs of Citizenship. And yes, safeguards must be considered and assured, as Capt. Tim mentions.

Out of curiosity, how would money create a problem? Companies print up mock money all the time. Hell, there are some towns in New England that use its own currency to help boost their own trade. abcnews.go.com/WNT/Business/story?id=2903049&page=1 (Btw, I almost spewed soda when I read "Witt started printing her own money and spending it around town. ") lol

Talossan money cannot really be used any more inappropriately than monopoly money, as long as it does not closely resemble the currency of another nation. eRepublik has a Passport that in no way could be misused. It is a little notebook that resembles a passport with a citizen information page. No holograms, no frills, clearly a novelty. I do like the idea of a certificate, though. We can buy the MinImm a raised seal and each certificate can have a raised gold seal or something, it could be fun.

I'm totally in favor of issuing passports, stamps and currency.

How about also having a "Certificate of Arms" avaliable for purchase. It could resemble a real-life Arms grant and that would be cool to display in your home.

I agree... this is a simple and more realistic immediate goal than minted coins or a true currency printing operation.
I like it... I want a "Talossan by Birth" Bumpersticker for my Dandelion's little electric car! Maybe a "You don't get to pick the Dandelions" bumper sticker for my truck.
