You like? I'm not quite sure I like the 5 one, since I had to use a different root for that one so it's different, and the text is a bit jagged. No insight into the reverses yet, as that's where I plan the security stuff to go, and that's S:r Grischuns province, although the CoA on the obverse offers the possibility of a watermark.

I'd say that, like in Canada, there should be a different Talossan figure on each note.

Yes, but I was taking from British example where the other figure goes on the back.

Might I also recommend we go to the system used by the Euro whereby different denominations are different sizes?
This also helps us in terms of accessibility for the visually impaired.

Maybe we could emboss the number in the lower-right corner? Or have somin in braille?

I quite like the style of these notes by the Atlantic banknote company.

Nice ideas. We should come with with a currency symbol (the most obvious being the symbol for the British pound (£) as it is a stylized L). I wouldn't be vehemently opposed to such a convention because currency symbols aren't unique and are often utilized for more than one currency.
We should try to use slightly different sizes for each note, as S:r Asmourescu said. I like the color system you already have. However, we should try color gradients (fading in and out and such) either towards the centre or edges.
I would also propose having the Greater State Seal more visible and centred.
Perhaps you could make some Talossan language versions too?
I'm also not overly fond of the "I promise to give...etc" thing. It seems too informal for a currency.

I like those Hawai'ian notes too. I admire how they utilize both languages on the same bill without it being awkward.
If we'd want something that looks like that, it'd have to be hand drawn and scanned into a computer.

Or we could commission the company to make them for us. If there is a trademark issue with "Talossa", we could simply put "El Banqeu es Post Rexhital" on them, and some symbols.

Hooligan says we could use the circle-with-a-cross as our symbol. Say you put it in place of the dollar sign. 2$59 would be 2 louise 59 bence, 2$ would be two louise, and $59 would be 59 bence.
I'm basing these off European notes, which are less symmetrical than American ones.
Maybe we could have a full more visible CoA on the back.
S:r Grischun is coming up with a vinyl security solution for the Kingdom's notes, so I'm waiting for him.
And finally, I took that line from English banknotes. We could easily change the wording.

I don't mind the line, however, why don't we put it in Talossan? That would add a little bit more of the language without bogging down the note with too much wording.

Also, I have a question about funding. The nice thing about having coins minted out of precious metals is that the coin itself has value. Bank notes typically have some sort of funding behind them since the paper generally bears no intrinsic value. Would these bank notes be redeemable for another currency? Will they be back by precious metals? Diamonds?

I always thought that we do it simply. I buy a new banknote/coin for the cost it took to produce plus the face value. It is worth it's face value, and I can redeem it for such, or use it to spend at co-operative businesses, like Fritz's. It's currently floating on Miller's lager with one louis equaling a pint at Fritz's, as I understand it. I've now a design for the back: The hologram goes in the hexagon in the top right corner.

'Anno. The guilloche generator on Subblue has just lightened our prospects. Now I'm just thinking of who should go on the other ones. Ben is out of the question and I'm not sure IM is happy with it now he's left.
